Event Highlight: May Coffee Catch Up
On Tuesday, 26 May, Chatswood Chamber of Commerce hosted another warm and engaging Coffee Catch Up, bringing together local business owners and professionals for a morning of connection, conversation and community support.
Despite the rainy weather, we were delighted to see a strong turnout from our members and the local business community. The Coffee Catch Up was officially welcomed and opened by Acting President Jam Xia, who began by acknowledging our valued Patron Members and their continued support of the Chamber.
It was also a pleasure to welcome Courtney Owings, President of the 2025/2026 Chatswood Chamber of Commerce, who kindly joined us during her maternity leave.

This month’s New Member Spotlight featured Home & Business Finance and T & Thy Insurance, who each had the opportunity to introduce their businesses, share their services, and connect with fellow attendees. These spotlights are a wonderful way for local businesses to be seen, heard and supported by the wider Chamber community.

We were also grateful to have Sharen Delaportas from Service NSW Business Bureau join us to share important updates for hospitality businesses. From 1 July 2026, cafés, restaurants and food trucks serving seafood will be required to display where their seafood is sourced. Businesses will need to use the AIM system on their menus to indicate whether seafood is Australian, Imported, or Mixed.

A special thank you to Young and the team at The Lobby Café for generously hosting our Chamber Coffee Catch Ups over the past few months. As part of the Chamber’s commitment to supporting local cafés and helping them be seen, heard and engaged, our time at The Lobby Café has now come to a close for this year as we move on to support another local coffee business.

Join us at our next Coffee Catch Up at Coffeehood Café, 799 Pacific Highway, Chatswood — a green rooftop café on the corner of Pacific Highway and Victoria Avenue.
