On 28 April, the first business day back after the ANZAC long weekend, Chatswood Chamber hosted another warm and engaging Coffee Catch-Up at The Lobby Café. Members and community friends had the special opportunity to meet Paula Duncan AM, one of Australia’s most highly regarded actresses and television personalities. With a career spanning more than 50 years, Paula is best known for her iconic roles in Cop Shop, The Young Doctors, Prisoner and Home and Away, and is a seven-time Logie Awards winner, including Best Actress.
Beyond Paula's outstanding contribution to Australian television, she also shared her strong commitment to charity and community work, particularly her support for people with disabilities and her involvement with the Focus on Ability Film Festival. The Festival’s red carpet awards ceremony will be held at The Concourse, Chatswood, on 18 October 2026, creating another meaningful local connection for our business and community network.
We were also joined by Safer Together, part of the Women and Children First not-for-profit organisation. Safer Together delivers practical and engaging seminars to help teams better understand relationship dynamics, recognise harmful behaviours, and respond with confidence. It was a valuable reminder of the importance of supporting wellbeing, respect and healthy workplace culture across our business community. We also warmly welcomed our new members, who had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses through our New Member Spotlight.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a meaningful morning of connection, conversation and great coffee. As part of our Monthly Coffee Catch-Up, a regular Chamber networking tradition hosted on the last Tuesday of each month from February to November, the spotlight gives members the opportunity to pitch, introduce their businesses to the local business community, and build strong relationships. Our Monthly Coffee Catch-Up is free for Chamber members to attend and network with the local business community.
